Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter.
- Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges appear dry, about 2-3 minutes.
- Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm with butter, syrup, or your favorite toppings.
Notes
For extra fluffiness, let the batter rest for a few minutes before cooking. Avoid overmixing to keep pancakes light and airy.
