Ingredients

- 6 large eggs
- 1 lb ground chicken or beef
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Boil 4 of the eggs for 6-8 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath and peel.
- In a bowl, mix ground chicken or beef with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne.
- Divide the mixture into 4 portions and flatten into thin layers.
- Wrap each peeled egg with a portion of the seasoned meat, sealing the edges.
- Set up a dredging station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
- Roll each wrapped egg in flour, dip into beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C) and fry the eggs for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
- Transfer to a paper towel to drain excess oil before serving.
Notes
For a healthier option, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes or air-fry at 375°F (190°C) for 15-18 minutes.
